SILMAX PFERD: Präzision, Technologie und Umweltbewusstsein

Together with our partner @Circa72, SILMAX PFERD launched an innovative project in January as part of the European GreenSME initiative, with the aim of developing more sustainable packaging and contributing to the ecological transition of the manufacturing sector.
The result? A 42% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to conventional virgin polypropylene packaging. The new toolbox packaging, made of 90% recycled cardboard, represents a concrete and replicable eco-design choice: less plastic, more renewable, biodegradable and low-impact materials.
The use of post-consumer and post-industrial fibres not only reduces landfill pressure, but also enables lower energy consumption during production. Full details of the comparative environmental impact analysis are available in the downloadable document at this link.
This project marks a new step forward in Silmax’s operational sustainability journey, demonstrating how innovation and respect for the environment can go hand in hand, even in the field of technical-industrial packaging.
